Artists Amanda and Rusty Gibbs combine their talents to create one of a kind art pieces. Residents of Leavenworth, the Gibbs' design and paint signs and murals. They paint in a variety of styles, including realistic, impressionistic, and illustrative. Amanda and Rusty both earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in fine art and graphic design from the Northwest College of Art in Poulsbo, WA. Artist Statement
They both became artists for the same reason..." it sounded more fun and interesting than any other job. Now, after doing it for six years, our strongest passion is to paint. Our main goal as artists is to interest the viewer. It is only after the interest is gained that we can convey any deeper meaning in our art. Often times with our art we aim to bring the beauty of the outdoors (which many of us don't get to enjoy enough) indoors. In doing art we hope to make people happier, by brightening their homes and towns with murals or decorating business fronts with signs."
