A lifetime resident of Lake
Wenatchee, Dickinson works in oils and watercolor to portray the natural
beauty of our region. She finds inspiration in her many hikes and horseback
trips. From mountains and streams to still-lifes and portraits, her images
offer textured realism saturated with light.
Dickinson is currently represented by Miller Fine Arts Gallery of Leavenworth
and has recently studied with such well known artists as William Reese,
Harley Brown and David Barker.
Artist Statement
Living in the mountains, I am confronted every day by subject material
that both inspires and challenges my artistic process. When I paint a
spring meadow or a river beneath a dramatic sky, it's as if the landscape
is daring me to find what is essential and true about that place and
that moment, and to translate these truths visually, with paints.
