Cordi is an artist wearing many hats. She worked in the world of commercial art, painting festival windows for over 25 years, paints with airbrush and sumi-e style and sculpts in aluminum, clay, bronze and brick.

She also teaches elementary art and produces children’s videos on drawing. Her first video, Easy 2 Draw Horses is available at local shops or on her website.

“I’m most proud of my commission The Story Teller”, says Cordi about a larger than life sized sculpture she was commissioned to do by the Leavenworth Library Board. The aluminum installation consists of two children sitting on the lawn entranced by an older woman sitting on a bench, fully engrossed in telling a story. A bird, representing a local Leavenworth friendly crow that used to land on visitors, sits on the bench listening in. The model for the woman was Peg Stark, local icon in the arenas of mountaineering, children and poetry.

For pure pleasure and relaxation Cordi says she likes to paint in a simplistic brush and ink style reminiscent of the Asian sumi-e style.

Cordi is available through appointment to
discuss or view work.
