I was born I was born and raised in the big sky state of Montana. I received my BFA from Cornish Institute Of Art, Seattle WA. I also studied fine art at the University of Montana, Missoula MT, Portland School of Art, Portland ME and the Archie Bray Foundation, Helena MT.

I paint with the opaque medium “gouache” which gives me bright color and rich detail. I embellish my paintings with sequins and beads to give my images a dimensional sparkle.

For 11 years I painted whimsical imagery for the Nordstrom department store chain. Those images can be seen in the children’s department in over 40 stores through out the United States. I have also done numerous projects for children, including paintings for a pediatric hospital in California and the Washington State Arts Commission, which provides artwork for school districts. I have illustrated 2 cookbooks and I enjoy doing images for
fundraisers and special events such as the “Teddy Bear Tea “ Wenatchee WA.
I live on the Icicle River, near Leavenworth, Washington with my husband and twin sons.

Artist Statement
“I see myself as mostly an artist that produces work for children but if I
can amuse an adult in the process, I feel like I have succeeded in making an image that can be seen as a positive”
